Candle Bible Handbook

Candle Bible Handbook

Candle Books; Revised edition (March 14, 2014) 256 pages

My Rating: 4/5 stars

My Thoughts:

This is a *wonderful* Bible study tool to have. It's target age is for elementary/middle age children, but even as an adult, I've found it useful!

This book is packed full of beautiful, realistic(ish) pictures. Many of these give us a good idea of what things back then might have looked like. For example, there's a section on musical instruments. While I knew that instruments back then would have looked very different, it's still neat to see what they might have looked like.

It's also packed with outlines, maps, timelines, frequently asked questions about things from the Bible, and descriptions. It's simply packed full of beneficial studying things!

Note: This book is presented with a "faith only" salvation plan, which goes against what I believe the Bible teaches. I believe it's made clear baptism is required(full submersion under water at an accountable age). (John 3:5: Mark 16: 16: Galatians 3: 26-27: Matthew 7: 21: James 2:14, 17: Luke 6:46 and so, so many more!!!!)

Keeping in mind that I disagree with that portion, I *highly* recommend this book!

*Thanks to Kregel Publications for providing me with a review copy, in exchange for my honest opinion.
