God is So Good!

You never know when things will change! I take so much for granted in life. Monday morning Jonathan went to work only to discover that the company he worked for was shutting down. Effective immediately! No warning, whatsoever. We lost ALL our insurance(aside from vehicle/house). With two surgeries and other appointments already lined up, and so much lost, I've worried. I've struggled with anger at the man that shocked so many families with this horrible news, and chose not to give them warning ahead of time.

"Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?" (Matthew 8:26)

***But God is so good to us!***

He almost immediately blessed Jonathan with another job. While I don't know how the insurance issue will work out just yet, I know God is in control.

(Matthew 6: 25-34)

25) “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26) Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27) Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28) “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29) and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30) Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31) “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32) For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33) But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34) Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

(Psalm 9:1-2)

I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
I will be glad and rejoice in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

I can't watch this video/hear this song without crying.

  1. Oh, Bluerose! First, I'm so sorry that happened to you and your family. :( That's a scary thing! But second, I'm so thrilled to hear your story of how God is providing for you! It's wonderful to see faith in action and to hear of how God is at work in people's lives. :) Praying for the insurance thing, and for God's continued provision!
